Putting Trust…
Went out on a date yesterday, meet one of my friends here in Yahoo 360.
The truth is this the first time I will ever meet someone in this blog
site and I was kind of excited. He is one person who always visits my
page in silence and always leaves me messages.
His name is
Tony and we met each other on Yahoo 360 two weeks ago. He is a
supervisor in one of the most known hospitals here in the metro. Tony
is such a funny guy when we met and I really enjoyed the evening
spending time with him. He promised that our date will not the same as
the one I had last Valentine’s and yes, it was never the same. Because
he was such one great guy and I really had a great time talking with
him and knowing each other.
We decided to watch a movie first,
Bridge to Terabithia. It is a good movie and I thought that I would be
the only one to cry in the end. Our eyes are stuck on the screen that
we have barely time to talk. It was great, sniffling and wiping tears
when we went out of the cinema.
Had dinner in an Italian
restaurant, they didn’t have risotto that night so I settled myself
with a penne instead. But the food was great and we are able to talk
more. About Tony and his life, about me and what I have gone through.
And one thing that I was so surprised, he have printed copies of my
blog entries. Oh my God! I feel happy and embarrassed at the same time.
I don’t know what to say, I am flabbergasted. And it makes me feel
special. It was a good meal and then we decided to have coffee before
we go on separate ways.
Coffee talk with him is nice, more
talk about love life and those sort of things. He told me stories about
his life in San Francisco. More conversation about our family… it was
fun to reminisce when you are with a friend. Tony also gave me a gift,
a key chain. It is a golden heart with a butterfly design inside it. It
is so beautiful, that when Sarah saw it she want it for herself. Cannot
give it to her though, it is a gift from a friend. Soon before we knew
it, it is already getting late and both of us must go home.
How did we got connected? Well Tony visited my page and leave me
messages, afterwards he added me up in Yahoo 360. He asked for my
cellphone number and been exchanging messages. He even called me once
here in the office so we can talk. And then we decided to meet each
other.
He is not the only one I have given my cellphone number
to, actually I lot of my friends here in Yahoo 360 have it. Dave,
Scott, Kevin Lee, Korry, Miguel, Daniel and others. Why do I gave it to
them such confidential information? It is because as friends I trust
them. What makes me trust them? Because they are such good people that
I have talked to and I don’t hesitate to give them my number.
They have become special part of me and I trust them completely. And
not only that, they made me feel so loved that I give those fully. We
just met each other through this blog site and we are thousands and
thousands of miles apart but that didn’t stopped me to let them know
that info. I don’t really give out my number to anyone, I wanted people
to show that they are worthy of it. Some of them do and some don’t.
It was funny that even though there’s difference in distance and time
they always manage to call me up or even send me messages once in a
while. They trust me and I trust them in return. That’s what I call
friendship. I am so glad that I met them and heard their voices, it
makes me happy. Though there are times I cannot answer their call…
either I am working or sleeping but still they remember to keep in
touch. And I appreciate their effort and time. I may not return the
favor often but remember that I am just here and thankful for
everything that you have done for me.
TRUST should be like the feeling of a one year old baby.
When you throw him in the air, he laughs…
Because he knows.
That you will catch him, the moment he falls…
